favorite AFV. the catch: no tanks

The ISU-152 and the M2a2 Bradley.

Staghound Mk.I … just love the look of that beast !!!

Su-76 / Su-100

M7 Priest (I must have built a dozen of those); Stug III and IV; Sdkfz 7, 7/1 (20mm Flakvierling), 7/2 (37mm); FAMO; Puma; M32B ARV; Hummel; Nashorn. I know a couple of these are “softskins” but I like 'em anyway. So sue me.[(-D]

Sdkfz 232!

Hmmmmmmmm tough topic. But I would have to say either the Jagdpanther or the Elefant. But there are so many more that I could write down, but these are my two favorite.

LAV 25 Piranah. It’s a cool machine. I was lucky enough to meet a Marine Corps Sergeant who showed me around one, and he told me stories about his experiences in Iraq. I met some M1A1 drivers too, but no tanks…

yeah, we’ve been through tanks every which way!

I would have to say the Skink (the Canadian AA version of the Sherman) would have to be right up there if just for the name alone. It was a really good idea for its time.

I like the Shilka myself – cool!

Entire M108 / 109 series, M7 Priest, M113 ‘Breadbox’…

Ron.

I guess I’d have to say the Jadgpanther for German and M-7 or M-12 US stuff.

Eric

my personal faves:

modern era: Bradley & M113, Marder 1A3 ( & the BMP, how could i forget ?)
WWii: Hetzer & StuG iii, m18 hellcat

i don’t know a lot about this stuff (altho’ i’m learning a little by hanging around here) so my choice is mostly based on the fact that i like the way these afvs look… [:I]

Let’s see… tall, blonde, blue eyed babes, UH! I mean the Swedish "S"tank so it should be low, well armored and packs a punch with I believe 105mm gun. Do they have any plans to upgrade to reactive armor and a 120mm depleted uranium sabot firing gun[8D]

M-18 Hellcat, hands down.According to my “U.S.Tanks & S.P. Art”

the fastest full-track combat vehicle in history.
RattenPanzer

M3 CFV Bradley, by far my favorite.(It got me through Desert Storm in 1991) I’m really curious about the Army’s new Stryker. It comes in alot of different variants and weapon platforms. Anyone know if there any Stryker kits out there yet?

Gotta be the German halftrack 251/1 D model

AikinutNY. The Swedish Military has no plans to upgrade the S-Tank as it was withdrawn from active service in Mid 2001. The S-Tank was 40 year old technology and has now been replaced by a version of the Leopard 2 the Swedes have modified to suit their own needs.

But hey, Trumpeter do a kit and you can always do an upgunned 'What if" model.

Excellent choice Sean [tup][tup]

Great deterent for snipers !!!

My Faves!
I,ve always loved schwimmwagens, SpW 251s (particularily D model) all variants SpW 250s, SdKfz 222, Famo, Nashhorn, Marder III, and if non turreted armour is allowed Stugs (especially late Gs) but the all time coolest vehicle has to be the Jagdpanther.
I also love the American M20, M8, Willys jeep, and don,t ask me why but I love the British Quad gun tractors, oh and last but not least the British LRDG Chevrolets (I know they,re American but I love all that extra kit us Brits shoehorned aboard in the desert including those cool ramps along the sides).
Great topic. Gotter.[:)]
