That was a snoozer, didn’t get exciting till the last 10-20 laps. The stages ruin these races and the first 2.5 stages are just conserving fuel. It single handedly ruined the sport.

New to this thread. I have a 1/24 Salvinos JR Models of a 1981 Buick Regal with Hardees decals. I am purchasing Darrell Waltrip 1981 Mt Dew decals. I saw a build and my question is on the engine block color. The instructions say orange but I have seen builds that are black and or aluminum color for the engine. Which would be correct for Waltrip’s '81 Mt Dew? Also the instructions say dark gray for the roll cage and I have seen that done in black. I have built a lot of NASCAR models but most were in the '90s through 2010s. Thanks-John

I’d have to try to find pictures online to answer your questions, not sure if anyone else can chime in and answer?

Fun race I thought at Charlotte today. Everyone already knew what the outcome would be lol but it was fun non the less. I enjoy the street courses personally.

Did Denny Hamlin get some payback today?

For me the race was a great big “MEH”. I particularly dislike drivers racing on the apron at tracks like Phoenix. There really isn’t any advantage to racing below the yellow line, but drivers still do it. I’m ready for NASCAR to go back to the old way of determining a season champion - who has the most points for the entire season. Anyway, congrats to Kyle Larson, the 2025 champion, and Ryan Blaney, the winner of today’s race. I like it when a Ford driver wins.

BTW: the DODGERS won the World Series!!

The entire season has been MEH, I just loved the end of the race because nascar and media pushed so hard for Hamlin and everyone thought he had it in the bag, then….he didn’t. But yes I agree they need to make a lot of changes to the system because this just isn’t working. Hopefully 2026 season is more organized and they fix the rules and points system.
