For the most part it was all around pretty good for all of them, it was actually my first Indy race I watched.

The Salvino kits are very detailed but the fit is not that great. An experienced modeler can make a nice model, but I know of a couple of novices who have bailed on theirs.

Super speedway this weekend, this season has been more hit and miss (action wise) than any other season I can remember. I’d say most of the races so far have been less than entertaining lol looking forward to a Superspeedway this weekend though and I’ve grown to love the street courses.

I’m all for it. Like the way the NFL plays a couple games abroad to raise interest. And think of F1… whoa - so many countries.

The way it sounds so far is several teams are struggling to get there, travel issues, and there are security issues as well and most teams need private security, I read one team only 10% of the manpower and they aren’t sure if the rest will make it, I think I read Denny isn’t going as well because his wife is due or they just had a kid.

This is a pretty cool thread. I just ran across it. I haven’t finished a nascar project in a long long time, but have some stalled (for years) projects.
As an aside, has anyone ever tried to put a Mpc Laguna s-3 on a salvinos 70’s gm chassis?
I do need to dust one of my projects off and push it across the finish line….

I remember a stock car race in Mexico in the fifties or sixties. Don’t recall wither it was NASCAR or not. It was a fairly oong race from one town to another.

I’m in the minority who feels that NFL football & NASCAR is “Pure Americana” and should be held in the states. Just my silly opinion.

The drama is getting a bit thick for me this year, the lawsuits, driver vs driver drama , nascar rules drama, it’s a bit over the top this season.

They still race at Dover? I haven’t followed since Cousin Carl, Mark Martin, Jimmy Johnson, Dale Jarrett and Jr were the “hot tickets”! Last race being in the stands was 2014 Daytona 500, Jr won! Rain rain rain, was cold n wet in the Allison bleachers! Had season tickets once upon a time at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, long ago and far away! Is Shrub Bush still racing?

I’m glad to see that Katherine Legge will be racing at the Brickyard this weekend. I sure would like to see her get a Top 10 finish in either Xfinity or Cup.
