Heres a pair of images of my 72nd Revell Leopard 2A5, converted to the Dutch variant. I used the early type skirts, and scratchbuilt the MG on the turret, the smoke dischargers and the bins in the turret rear. Tell me what you think, guys. And Merry Christmas!
Captain Caveman, Leopold, Latch, Mr. Viking & Erush,
Thanks guys. Next to the Abrams the Leopard 2 is my favorite MBT.
Dj,
Thanks. Ive been trying to finish a 72nd Revell M2 Bradley that Im backdating to early standards. Just havent gotten around to resuming the project though.
Alex,
Thank you, my friend. Am really biased in favor of Braille, and Im glad a lot of guys here do Braille too. [:)]
Great job Allan. Do you have a large collection of 1/72 armor? I would like to see any pics of your work. Have you posted pics anywhere? Re. the matter of good looking MBTs, the Abrams and Leopard are obvious choices but I’d vote for one very few people have ever mentioned, the French AMX 30, specifically the earlier variations.
Best regards from Spain.
Thanks for the kind words. Been out for several days and its good to see the 3000 post glitch was fixed.
Fuster,
Thanks! I wouldnt say I have a large 72nd collection but I do have a bunch. I almost never build in 35th. Ive posted pics here of 2 M-1A1s, an M-551 and an M-48A5. A friend of mine posted pics years ago of my M-113A2 and USMC M-60A1 with reactive armor in tracklink. I’ll take new images of the latter two models and try posting them here. If you want I could send you images by e-mail. Please feel free to drop me a line through the email tab below.
I like the AMX too. But the South African Olifant Mk I B (modified Centurion) is among my greatest frustrations. No line drawings to base a conversion on! [V]
