Hi Ben! Your build looks way better on these photos, and those bedrolls are from militput? They are just great! Where did you get the bottles from? I’m curious!
Have a look at my reply in this link:

I explain why megapixels got next to nothing to do with photoquality… Something most believe from cheapy marketing…! [;)]
Again, this one is really good… Looking forward for the Panzerjäger! Don’t rush it now…!
As a last round of suggestions for this project, perhaps add a little more dusting to the tops of the rear fenders, under the tools etc, and then wipe the excess off the tops of the strengthening ribs with a soft cloth. I would also consider trimming the ragged edges off the star on the vent with a sharp knife and touching up with white paint.
I’m not convinced by the way your stowage on the rear deck is tied down. You may wish to rethink that.
I need to work on my photography ie get lighting sorted properly etc. Someone gave me a link to a ‘light box’ which you can make yourself, I’m going to do one of them. Up until now I’ve rarely taken a photo!
The rolls are from Miliput, rolled as thin as possible with a bit of talcum powder on to stop the putty sticking to the roller. I found it was best to leave the putty for about 40 minutes before rolling otherwise it would still be too tacky and would tear.
The bottles and oil lamp came with the Cromwell-one oil lamp and ten bottles iirc? I painted the bottles in green clearcote-I quite like them!
I’ll check out your link later-tbh I thought Megapixels made all the difference, show’s what I know about photography doesn’t it!
All in all it was a VERY enjoyable build. I did manage to get some vertical streaking in which you can see now (see your post prior to your last) but you wouldn’t have seen it in them photos I posted originally-I really need to get the whole photography thing sorted as the model looks really really good in the flesh and I just can’t seem to replicate it on the pc at the minute. A ‘proper’ camera needs to be added to the shopping list I think. The streaking worked well-just like you guys said, a TINY dab of oil pulled down with a small spirit soaked brush.
Stowage-I was happy with my rolls but like you say the way it was tied down doesn’t look great but what else can I lash it to? I think I might undo it all and have another go at tying it down. If I’d decided to fit the Normandy Cowling I’d have been laughing!
Anyway, as I said, a very enjoyable build-it was rushed which several people have picked me up on but I did want it done before I went away. When I’m back I’ll be starting work on a little dio (my first) so at least I can carry over all the new things I’ve learnt on this piece-oil washes and stowage to name two.
