Hey Toimi, it is just regular dark green from vallejo over a white primer. Then i used rustoleum clear gloss.
This week was more focus on the Ford’s chassis. I was able to get that done plus work on the interior a bit. I am pretty happy with the interior, just need to make some seatbelts.
Was able to get the rear metal axle in and wheels on, the front end required more work so that took another day. I got them on though and everything sits flat.
Painted the engine area a flat black, then put the interior in, the engine in place and the cab over everything. Nothing is glued just wanted to check placement and clearances. Surprisingly, everything fits pretty snug.
Next week plan on starting on the car hauler. Need to get this started so I can dimensions for the Dio base. See you all next week.
If you’re looking for authenticity, seatbelts didn’t become standard equipment till something like 1965. It was optional before that and of course someone could have added them later. Before that people would literally be tying themselves to the car to keep them in one place.
Yep, that is correct. Looking at this as a restored, slightly modified vehicle. I am kinda of thinking early 70’s and the guys went ahead and put some seatbelts in for additional safety.
