I play it a lot and I’m wondering if anyone else here plays it? I mostly play Germany and Japan. I’m down to discuss it if anyone else is
I had to look it up, never heard of it. Been outa the gaming loop for about 10 years. Heck I think COD black ops was the last thing I used to play. Anyways that game looks good though. Having kids puts a damper on cool hobbies lol
Yes mate, I’m mostly on the SA Server. My only tech tree is Russian Ground Vehicles, currently at BR 4.7
Although historical footage/photographs and surviving vehicles are the superior primary source, War Thunder is also not a very dynamic source of inspiration for paint schemes, weathering and interpretation of various moulded details, as you can take an exterior tour of all of the vehicles in the game even if you haven’t unlocked them.
The vehicles will also collect environmental effects such as mud, dust and snow in the field depending on the map you’re playing on
Take this T-34 from the hangar for example, which closely matches a current project…

I was known at school for being the only female war Thunder player in a 100 mile radius or something. I play naval mostly, given how chill it is and I like naval stuff a lot.
Although in my humble opinion— enlisted is a better game. I love the FPS aspect of it, and how I get to be a soldier and command machinery. But if WT gets an infantry update I might go bazonkers.
I really wanna play U-Boat though, it looks amazing and subs are more my thing
There’s something extremely satisfying about the SU/ISU-152 with the heavily armoured casemates and the no-nonsense 152mm main armament. It’s a weapon that provides a confidence of outcome that you don’t get with other guns, at least not without a more intimate understanding of enemy armour weakpoints

Yeah, the overpressure on those soviet tank destroyers is crazy, and the armor is super good for the br
I personally find FPS gameplay more easy/enjoyable than vehicle gameplay. And I think soldiers are my favorite aspect of the military to begin with, so it just makes me excited when I get to play as one rather than just a vehicle. The best games (imo) are ones where you can control soldiers and the vehicle
