man, you did a great job, and just because you may have learning pains, don’t let anybody tell you that you did less than excellent. I’m glad you finished it and are happy with the finished product. Definately put it in some shows, I am sure you will walk away with a trophy or two.
I think that’s incredible. I have an idea for a future project; have you ever heard of the Daimler Benz flying aircraft carrier? It sounds like the perfect project for you.
What can i add that hasn’t been already said. That is a work of art. I have followed the build here on the forums and kept thinking that Lucien was a little “touched”. After seeing the finished model, he is a genius. I LOVE IT.
Way to go. Now for the B-36 with the 2 B-47 mounted on the wingtips…lol.
Mike, you rock dude! [:O] That is totally kick A$$! [:D][tup][bow]
So what next up, a 1:32 B-52? Incidentally I was just think of this Zwilling project of yours the other day when I found an old FSM of mine from May 1991 in which it showcased a 1:32 B-52! wing span = 6 feet! Now theres a project for ya, and the guy who built it even made it into a diorama! Keep them coming Mike can’t wait to see whats next!
Thank you, thank you, and once again thank you. Despite a few minor mishaps and delays, it really was a joy to build. Everybody here helped with it, wether you know it or not. If I didn’t have anybody to show it off to, I’m not sure I would have had the initiative to start it. Thanks again.
I’m more than likely going to take it to at least one show, the one in Kalamazoo, either this year or the next. If anybody’s going to that one, keep an eye out! [:D]
For those who don’t know, the kit is 1/72, and the wingspan is almost 3 feet. Almost as big as a B-36, but not quite.
As for future projects, I have a couple lined up in the planning stages, but stalled for want of $$$$$$$. Alas. Dreams don’t come cheap… [(-D]
And yes, I have heard of the Daimler-Benz Aircraft Carrier. Another Luft 46 idea. Several versions of this flying “aircraft carrier” carrying upwards of six small airplanes or piloted missiles. It also served as the inspiration for the “White Knight” carrier of the “Spaceship One” (first private spacecraft) There was a kit resleased of it a while ago, I think. I’ll have to keep an eye out.
Despite what I’ve shown, I’m not that great at scratchbuilding. I’d like to consider myself more of an “extreme kitbasher”. (Modifying several kits a little bit to make one large one.)
Once again, thanks for all the support and feedback. I really appreciate it.
