Just got all caught up on this thread and I apologize for being late to the party Steven but DANG man! You managed to pull off a stellar completion with this beastie.
I’m starting to come around to some of the AK acrylic line up as a suitable replacement for Model Master acrylics but the AK Extreme Metal paint you used on this turned out perfect.
Incredible work buddy.

VERY nice, Steven!! My Dad flew KB-50’s at Edwards, IIRC. I even have a picture of him with this brother, who I think was a test pilot for Republic by then, sitting under either the XF-84H, OR XF-105, both of which he flew, and one of the KB-50’s my Dad flew, in the background.
I’d try to grab a copy of the B-50, but I bet that thing’s a beast, and I’d never get around to it.

Gene, it doesn’t have an overwhelming number of parts, and size-wise, it’s not really much bigger than a 48th scale twin engine bomber. Problem is finding the kit for a good price. They typically run close to $100 on eBay, but I found this one for $25 on a vendor table at the IPMS show in Stafford, TX a couple of years ago.

Rather than mess around with making sprue goo, I’ve found this works just as well without the hassle.
