I got a lot of hobbies, but cooking is definitely one of them and it relates to modeling due to the fact that you need nourishment to enjoy the hobby, 90% of my cooking is outside. I have a flattop, wsm, recteq, and the trusty Weber kettle. I thought it would be fun to post what ya cook.
Cheddar cheese was on sale yesterday to I picked up two blocks and put them on my smoker, smoked cheese is literally the best food, I made home made pizzas on the Webber kettle with the pizza oven attachment. I have no pictures because I didn’t plan on sharing but I will next time.
If you’ve never tried it you gotta give it a go, there is usually an option or two at the super market but it’s also usually really expensive at the store.
I’ve tried hickory and cherry wood, but the time I used cherry wood the cheese got too warm in the smoker and didn’t turn out great. Still ate it but definitely wasn’t great.
I’ve tried smoking mozzarella and it didn’t turn out well at all, I always just do cheddar, but I didn’t do any reading on how to smoke mozzarella I just did it like I always do cheddar, that being said I feel like the process is different because it’s a softer less greasy cheese. I’ll try it again soon though.
