Amazing the things that are out there. Looks like a Dremel tool with a Destructo Bit and a jar of Aves will be your best friends to tackle the beast.
So where is that Kanutu woman with the wiggly fake turds? [:O]
Or a Gorn? You would get all kinds of heckling, with guys giving advice like “To get the parts to fit, look around you. See if you can find stuff to… to build a lathe.” [:P]
I’ve been waiting 8 months for him to get it back in stock, so if you want one snap it up!
The Kogar kit is not something that would ever be on my radar if it wasn’t the base kit for the Mugato.
I have the Aves, my dremel died and I replace it with a cheap harbor frieght one. Not a good idea. The chuck is off just enough that some dremel bits don’t fit. But I like your thinking Real G!
I would LOVE a 1/2 scale Gorn to go with my Kirk head conversion, that goes with my Starfleet Officer conversion of the Spock kit!
He wears a black T-shirt under his uniform shirt, until he has a fight, then the black T-shirt vanishes and then he has nothing on underneath so you can see his chest.
I recently purchased some Apoxie Sculpt for seams that needed some sculpting work. It had a nice working time. It is very sticky and strong, it both fills and bonds solidly. I was able to sculpt it to the point of not having to worry to do any extensive sanding like I am used to with the fast setting Tamiya white or Testors contor putties that I have otherwise.
The auto body filler (Bondo) has about a 10-15 min working time. I’ve used it before with good results. The scultping putty I have ordered says it has 45 min working time.
It sounds like one of those should probably work for you. The Apoxie Sculpt lists a 1-3 hour working time, 24 for curing. I didn’t check how long it was workable when I used it though, I certainly was done in less than an hour with it. In the end I found it was very hard, but it did sand well. I was able to work it to where I wanted it, and only lightly sanded it except in one area that I accidentally went overboard on, I thought it was going to be covered by another part, but it ended up to be to much.
