1/100 heller HMS victory

Ouch. I can imagine your pain. The key to disaster is how you respond…after the good cry. I broke a rubber band track and the drive sprocket axle on a vintage Tamiya Jagdtiger after about 100 hours of work. I was ready to bin the project, but after taking a break for a couple days, I got down to making a new axle with brass rod and a bit of drilling and resorted to a stapler to repair the track. After a day’s work I was back on track so to speak.

thanks for the tips everyone , those glasses sound like a good idea , I also like the idea of the red yarn , the funny thing , is I had the lens up and they caught in the fore topgallant stay to the bowspit . of to the chemist now for some glasses .

thanks bob for the tip , 3.0 are better than the magnifier , also got , 2.0 , 2.5 , 3.5 , you never know .

Wait, what are those ? I might be unfamiliar with the English terminology but that got me curious. Magnifying glasses rather than corrective lenses ?

they are cheap form of glasses , with different magnifications
they look just like glasses , you normally find them in cheap shops , or chemists .

gee I’m having a good time of it lately , reached out to get my tweezers , bang , about 1,000 blocks on the floor , just what I needed . another coffee and a good cry .

thank the Lord you don’t have brown pile carpeting!
I am also elbows deep in hanging staysails. Two done on the mizzen.

actually bob , the carpet is a motteled brown colour . I put a cover of white vinyl over it , because I’m forever dropping little pieces on it .

The sails are amazing! Very realistic.

Oh my! That would make me start drinking bourbon instead of coffee.

Inspirational work!.. And this coming from a plastic kit.

I’ve only built the Revell Constitution and United States many years ago as I’m not a prolific masted ship builder; but I do really appreciate good builds, and your’s is one.

I have the same kit but after looking at the quality of your build, I think mine will stay in the box for a while longer.

Thanks for sharing the build string and quality photos!

I’ve been saying to the wife lately that whatever it is I’m attempting to move or pickup should be thrown on the floor first because that’s where it’s going to end up anyway. I’m forever bending down to pick up that which i attempted to grasp. It must be because I’m of a certain age.
