also, which turrest is actually included? soft-edge or hard-edge?
It was the best T-34/76 before Dragon started their T-34/76 line. The main issue with the Zvezda/Italeri T-34 line is the tracks. They are traditional vinyl tracks that come in two lengths per side. I had this kit but donated it to the club auction when I started picking up the Dragon kits. I do not recall what turret it had, but overall it looked like a good kit that would benefit from some individual track links. I believe I still have the track links for the kit I used to own.

I have built this kit fairly recently and as said here, the only real issue is the tracks. Zvezda’s are EXTREMELY STIFF vinyl. But otherwise it builds into a nice representation of a T-34 for a reasonable price. I believe the turret is the “soft edge” variant, but I am not certain. My decals suffered due to being left out in my garage while I was away on deployment, but that is not the manufacturer’s fault. I replaced them with some Verlinden dry transfers. There was a bit of a gap where the glacis plate met the lower hull, but I covered that with weathering/mud. Between the two T-34/76 model 1943 kits in 1/35 out there easily found, this one is a better build over Tamiya’s.

stikpusher, any pictures of your build? here’s a pic from that second link rob put up, this is a hard edge turret (or at least the one i’m looking for). is this how it looked? it’s got that odd kink about half way down the side at the bottom.

i’m not too worried about the tracks, i’d probably end up getting friuls or something. i’d have to swap out the wheels and scratch build fuel tanks and cupola along with equipment to go on it and modifying a figure so the tracks are the least of my worries. [:)] i guess i could modify the turret too but i’d rather not.
Here is one pic of the one I did. It was built strait from the box except for markings… It comes with the armored box external fuel cells. Looks like the same step in the turret.
