Zap A Gap and other super glues

Just wondering how do others apply Zap A Gap and other super glues?

And how do you keep the novels from getting blocked up with dried CA?

How do you remove CA if it does dry?

Just looking for some new tips.

Thanks in advance

Scott

I use Teflon tubing in my nozzle/tips. This allows me greater control when applying and also redusces waste. If the tip of the tube gets clogged it can usually be squeezed clear with a pinch. Or if it is stubborn, then a quick nip off of the end of the tube to remove it. The tubing helps one reach into tight spots where a drop is needed install a part you forgot, two steps previously.[:-^]

Where do you find this tubeing?

thanks

I get it at my LHS right where they display and sell the CA…if you don’t see it ask for it. It is supplied by many of the CA manufacturers or those that make replacement nozzles.

You can get them from Sprue Bros…

I only use the “four for a 1.99” carded super glues… You can get ‘em practically anywhere, they’re the same stuff as “Hobby Brands”, and decidedly cheaper. If you get an impossibly-clogged tip, or it “goes bad”, you can toss it without battin’ an eye…

For application in small areas, I just squeeze out a drop on a piece of sheet styrene, a bottle cap, whatever non-porus surface there is handy, and apply with a straight pin… If I need it to be thicker, I just let it sit a spell…

If you are not mechanically inclined, Darren @ RS will sell you some, but the link shows you how to make your own. I made a couple dozen from a length of DUBRO RC aircraft cable sheath. Cost less than 5 bazoobas
