Your other hobbies & interests other than modeling. What do you like to do?

Isn’t that ironic, a forum mostly filled with military history buffs that discuss history, war, weapons and build replicas of said machines is somehow frightened by a gun owner :joy::rofl::joy::rofl: people are silly. I am also a 2A guy with a permit and a military background……hope I didn’t frighten anyone…

Well, I haven’t seen that member on here since the forum revamp. Now I understand why the member had a dislike for firearms due to an event in their life, but the conversation triggering the hammer fall over that subject was something like is currently here at the moment which they were not a party of. But two enthusiasts speaking of their shared enjoyment in the legal activity sent this member off the deep end after they inserted themself into the conversation and the previous owners suddenly came down on the subject hard. It had not previously been listed among the forbidden topics in the forum rules but suddenly was after their rant. And yes, the member does or did build military models.

When I am not building airplanes, I am flying them.

I’m also a cocktail enthusiast in my home bar that I’ve called “The Flying Tiger”. Shown here is a classic bourbon Old Fashioned with a grapefruit twist. Plus a namesake P-40 as the mascot for the bar.

A lot of folks already know I enjoy re-building and hot rodding street vehicles. I’ve owned several Mustangs throughout my lifetime (Four '67 Coupes and an '89 Mustang LX 5.0) that I went through and gave “the treatment” to all but one and now a 1994 Chevy Silverado that I put a small block 400 in to and also gave “the treatment” to.

Fun vehicles all of them have been. All of the Stangs are gone but I still have the Silverado.

The first two: Both of these were bone stock. 289 V-8’s with automatic transmission.

Car #3 that I ended up putting all of the parts from the yellow one into and then upgrading to a 351W with a 4 speed manual transmission. Nothin’ to look at but was a fun car.

Car #4 that I used parts from Cars #2 & 3 from. I kept this one till I sold it for the '89 in 1999.

And then the 406 powered Silverado:

Very cool looking. Especially the Mustang.

A fellow bourbon lover! We will get along just fine. Now I’m thirsty, lol.

Bourbon is the true American spirit, and it happens to be the perfect whiskey. Cheers!

I’ve had this truck for 16 years now but it I feel that I’ve got at least one more car in me.

Cocktail enthusiast… I like that term  I also enjoy tending the bar in “The Rowdy Ben Saloon” in my man cave…

Your Flying Tiger looks like a very enjoyable place to imbibe.

Can’t say I have… but combining the two sounds awesome! (no pun intended)

Oh combining… now I can’t vouch for those hemi muscle car motors combined with Ma Deuce or the Pig… but a screaming turbocharged Detroit diesel… cordite and diesel fumes mixing (insert Tim Allen caveman noises)

I love the newer 1/48 kits with one exception and that is all the interior details you’ll never see. Over the years the shapes have become more accurate, decals are an order of magnitude better.
