My grandsons received a bunch of old kits from their great grandfather. We are trying to find out what these are worth, since the kits are WAY beyond the guys experience level. Is there some book or list or something that lists values? We would like to sell these kits and use the funds to purchase easier kits for them to learn on! Any help would be appreciated!
Stack them up, take a photo of them and post them here. We’d love to see them!

Funny… last late winter, I found a couple of my old kits from Young Modeller’s Club. Completely forgot I had them at my dad’s house. The best part, both are still in original packaging. In case you wanted to know, I have the 66’ Mustang and the F-16 with the old red white blue decal scheme. No, it’s not the Thunderbirds kit. :))
I’d say the Young Model Builders club kits were probably aimed at kids 8 to 16 year old. Cars were probably easier. OldModelkits.com usually has some price lists.

I have some of those too . Mine are the Magnum Ferrari , The Huey , An F-105-and an F-104 as well as A " Datsun " " Z " Car, as well as a Piper Cub with hunters .
I think they were supposed to be the most noticeable of their kit lines . Ages 8 to 16 , I would imagine . I just got them as my last shot at this " Club " before I did my first tour in the Nam .
They were waiting for me at home on my before deployment leave . Back to Sea Again ! . T.B.
I agree that oldmodelkits.com is a good research tool. I would take their prices with a shaker of salt, though. They tend to be on the very high side.

They list collector’s prices, not builder’s prices.
They can list whatever prices they like. Since they have been around a while, I assume that someone must buy something once in a while there. But using those prices that collectors are supposedly willing to pay to see what Dad’s kit collection is ‘worth’ when he’s passed on is likely to lead to much disappointment. And unsold piles of plastic.
