Hi!
I’m looking for the best you tube channels for building and painting aircraft and armor. I’ve seen scale-a-ton and plasmo. They are great and I was looking for other channels in their league. I know you always have great suggestions.
Thanks

Andy’s Hobby Headquarters is pretty good. Mostly armor, some Sci-Fi, a few cars and motorcycles. He does builds, kit news and live streams. He’s a likable guy and good modeler.
scale model world , scale model medic , scale model aircraft , flory world , fine scale modeler , big modeler .
I second Andy’s hobby headquarters. Also check out ivan the terrible and panzermiester36
My favorites are Will Pattison and Paul Budzik. very informative and no drama or showmanship.
Ditto to Paul Budzik.

I just checked out Will Pattison, watching part of his review of Mission Models Paint. I think he is going to be a great source. I like his informative, methodical approach. Thanks for the recommendation.
Genessis Models would be a top one. He’s a master modeler. Take a look at his F4. Many of the UK sites have serious professional master modelers. That is my experience.
Although I think Andy is a nice guy his builds are lacking or intermediate at best, and anyone starting out will pick up bad habits from what I’ve seen. I recently built the Takom V1 Maus. His video of the V2 (same kit different turret) was filled with mistakes on a very tedious model. That kit is for an advanced modeler. His Tamiya La Ferrari build was frankly a disaster. That video is not going to help anyone serious trying to build that demanding kit, which I have built with the PE and carbon fiber decals.
[Y] You’re quite welcome and I’m glad you enjoy his style. Another plus is that both he and Paul speak good English lol
Doogs models and Plasmo models have been my top two. Doogs shows a good variety of black basing and other shading techniques while Plasmo goes more in-depth with washes (as you have probably seen). Doogs also has a few model tutorials plus his own blog you can see finished product at as well.
Like the work Doog does, honestly his profanity is not needed and it’s all the time. Off putting and unprofessional. Kind of juvinile compared to the work he does on kits. It makes it too unpleasant to enjoy the work. Plasmo may be the best i’ve seen.
Maybe not the most informative but in terms of modeling skill and production values check out Tom Grigat. His videos are a delight.
