XB-51

The “Early Cold War Years”, that´s the title of an Italian Group Build contest.
So I looked at some pictures and the most striking and attractive representative of those dark days
is, to me, the wonderful Martin XB-51…(Din´t get anywhere but its was beautiful!!!)
I built it as static scale models were built in the early Fifties, Good old Wood Solids!!!
Its tiny, 1:144 scale.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

Neat model and one that would be a great subject for a 1/48 and/or 1/72 injection kit.

Very nice little build. Brings back memories of some of the early 50’s wooden models. First static model I ever built was a wood model of a P-80. Would love to see a XB-51 in 1/72. Maybe MPM/Special Hobby will do one someday.

Regards, Rick

A nice looking build, especially for such a small scale. I’ve always liked the lines of the XB-51. BTW, Anigrand Craftswork makes a resin XB-51 in 72 scale but I’d like to see an injected one, too.
