Just finished my X-Wing and thought I'd show it off alittle. It was a lot fun, but know I need to start fretting about the next project.... been thinking about an actualized Mill. Falcon, or a scratchbuilt Star Destroyer. (Non-Studio -Scale for that one!)
Thanks for comments! Let me start this by stating that I have no stake in the sale of this model, but I found it to be one of the most enjoyable kits I have ever built, I’d highly recommend it to anyone with the Star Wars bug. When Star Wars first came out, I was twelve and immediately bought the X-Wing and Darth Vader Tie Fighter kits, they were a ton of fun until I saw a “making of” special and got my first glimpse of the studio model being handled. Getting my hands on an X-Wing in this scale has finally scratched a very old itch!
I too was 12, when star wars came out and bought the same kits too! I wanted one of the studio scale model of anything! Everytime I find one and get ready to order someone from Lucas Arts showa an injunction for them to stop making them![banghead]
Wow, what can I say, that is just plain ole awesome! Who makes the kit? Resin?
I have always wanted to build a Rebel Blockade Runner. After seeing your X-Wing, maybe I will. I just picked up a copy of “Star Wars - Incredible Cross Sections”. The itch is coming back. I wonder if there is a market for a huge resin kit of the “Tantive IV”?.
A blockade Runner would be great. I’m getting serious about the Star Destroyer, I just can’t decide on a scale… a six fotter would be great, but I’d need an addition for the house to display it. Might need to settle for a 3 or 4 footer!
