Marc, It looks like it was one great place to be. You must have a nice camera…the photos are very crisp. What a cool Hurricane.
Great looking site, by the way.
Love those shots! The close-ups really show the detail, and the grey sky seems to add another element to them. Very cool website, I’m putting that one in my favorites!
Excellent modeling reference pics [:D]
I often find that I dont have any pics of an entire aircraft…just detail shots, hehe.
I am a bit dissapointed I missed the Hurricane and 109. I was there on Friday (The 109 never made it due to brake trouble).
I know… and last year it was the weather[BH]
nice pictures and a great reference for all of us
Thanks !
Greg
Beautiful pictures. Thanks for posting them. It sure will be nice to see that P-61 completed.

Great pics, Marc! Seeing that Stearman brought back a lot of cool memories. Not too long ago, my family and I all chipped in to buy Dad a ride in one of those for his 75th birthday. He said it was something he’d never forget.
Wing Nut, ( nice illustration ), I have been going to Reading for a number of years. It is a truely remarkable experience. I just wanted to share a few observations and thoughts with you and the rest of the guys. Like you , my primary interest is aircraft, but this year the reinactors really ramped up their presence. I went on Saturday and stayed for the evening festivities. WOW!!! There was even a German Mercedes staff car running around during the evening. For those of you who have never been there, it it like going back in time, Thc people who are dressed in time period clothing really come out in full force during the evening, but they are present all day long. Gunny, from the history channel gave a nice speech, and he said that he will definitely be back next year. The band that played was impressive. They duplicate Glen Miller’s band, down to the exact number of musicians and the Army Air Corps dress. And, if you never have heard this type of music live, it sounds great! And, I witnessed something that transported me back in time. At about 6:45 PM, the guys that were driving the " Follow Me " Jeep were parked underneath Panchito, the B-25. There were a group of mechanics working on her Port engine, while dressed in authentic WWII clothing. They were doing this for real, not an act. You want to talk about being transported back into time!!! For those of us in the modeling community, some of the best opportunities for pictures are during the time period after the Saturday air show and before the evening festivities. There are fewer people around, and the reinactors are very helpful. Just as an aside, If you visit the Mid Atlantic Air Museum during the early part of the year ( Feb, early March ), they shove almost all of their aircraft into the hanger and you have the whole place to yourself to take great close-up pics of many aircraft. This is great for detail shots. This is supposed to be the best event of its type in the country, ( even Gunny said so ), so if many of you are going to travel, please try to get there. Ok, enough of rambling…for now. Hey Wing Nut, remember, keep your wings level and watch your " six ". Bob
Awesome shots! And I might add a nice collection of reference photos for several kits I have in my stash, thanks so much!
Is that a P-2V you are inside? Nice to see that MAAM’s P-61 is turning out great. Oh yeah, that C-54 is fantastic!
Yup it is a P2-V. Grounded unfortunately. My knees were sweaty so when I crawled front to the back section, I stared to slip and almost landed on my face. Now I know why a flight suit has long pants[;)]
Great pics! I have to go next year. BTW, I like that picture of the P-47 with what looks like dried dirty water stains that had acculmulated between the panel lines. A wash in real life!
