I want to build a model of USS Woolsey (DD-437) (Gleaves Class Destroyer). Does anyone know of a kit, in any scale of a Gleaves class Destroyer or a Benson class Destroyer? I’ve read the only visible exterior difference between the two is the Gleaves class has round stacks and the Benson class has flat
sided stacks. If there is a Benson class kit out there does anyone know were I might be able to purchase the proper stacks and decals?
Greetings: I too would like to find a kit of a Gleaves. I want to build the USS Jeffers DD-621/DMS-27. My dad was on board her from Nov 45 to Mar 46. Anyone out there that has built one or knows of a source, please pipe up. Thanx. Dave
They do exist,… somewhere.

This site says
“Years ago, Blue Water Navy released a 1/350 scale kit for a WWII Benson class destroyer. The subject was USS Aaron Ward as of 1942”

I don’t know if they still make the kit, but it’s listed there.
Contact them, and see what is up.
Good Luck.
Hmmm i think you will have to paste the entire link into your browser.
