Does anyone have an idea on the colors to paint a French WWII pilot figure. I am having trouble identifying what color his actual flight suit would be. I can find no references on the internet as far as color pictures.
Standard issue except don’t forget that large white flag that goes with it.
Darn it! You beat me to it!

The French Air Force uniform was regularised in 1934. It was basically in Dark ( Louise) Blue & was nearly identical to the French Naval uniform. After the fall of France, conscripted pilots wore the standard German Luftwaffe uniform. Free French were trained by Great Britain & the USA & wore the uniforms of those countries. For those that possessed them, the French uniform was worn almost exclusively as a walking-out dress uniform.
Hope this helps.

Thanks guys! Outstanding information and Pic too!
Andrew Mollo has an excellent book regarding WWII uniforms. Lots of color plates; almost every country represented.
