Can someone educate me about what color was use for ammo crates ?
I noticed that there are at least 3 colors; dark grey, dark yellow, and light green.
Is there a special meaning on those color for them crates ?

I’m assuming you are inquiring about German ammunition crates? I’m sure that as the war progressed, there were changes made to the appearance of German ammo crates and canisters, but I don’t know that anyone has worked out a time line for all of the variations that exist. Here is a link to a French site that has nice color photos of most German ammunition crates and canisters;
Looks like they are using several different color; brown, german grey, light brown. And I’m sure I’ve spotted in that site a green crate over painted with red brown.

I even have some photos of ammo boxes painted in 3-tone scheme, but I don’t exactly remember where they are at the moment…Hard to believe they would have spent the time to do so, but they did.
