This is the start of research into the stuff I need for a diorama. I need to find the colors of russian army and nkvd (political) troops. Uniform colors and the little things like what color collar tabs or hat band. I’m looking for field uniform colors. Oh yeah, who makes paint close to these colors? I know you guys can steer me in the right direction… thanks g.l.

Just to set things right. you wrote WW11…
Did you meen WWI or WWII as in WW1 or WW2, respectivley.
If you ment WW2, you have wonderfull colors from Valejo. I bought the Russian uniform color and it looks right.
If you mean WW1 , what exactly do you need. Before 1917 or after 1917?

I might recommend Osprey’s The Red Army of the Great Patriotic War, 1941-1945. It is one of the few, inexpensive books you can find on the subject.
