Ww2 marine models?

Does anyone know we’re I could get like a good 1/35 ww2 us marines? It’s been a vision of mine to make a pacific diorama

A Google search turned up some available sets,as well as ebay

This is what Scalemates shows being out there for 1/35 USMC WWII figures

1/35 USMC

MasterBox is probably your best bet for WWII US Marines in 1/35.

MasterBox has these sets listed on its website, but you can probably find them from other vendors:

US Marines in the jungle:

US Marines at Tarawa:

and a dog team

MB also has this set of US Marines and Japanese infantry in hand-to-hand combat:

as well as this set of Japanese Imperial Marines at Tarawa:

With those sets, you could produce some vignettes right out of the box. But the figures also lend themselves well to conversion, too.

Dragon also makes or made a set of US Marines (at Peleliu):

There is a current eBay listing for another Dragon set, listed as US Marines at Iwo Jima, with a set of Japanese Marines:

My other thought was Tamiya, but I haven’t yet found a dedicated set of Marines, only figures included with Tamiya’s kit of the Marines post-war M60 tank.

As far as other makers go, Italeri put out a set of Marines, but I’m not sure it’s still in production. But this is a current eBay auction for it:

Those are all good examples for you to look at. Like I said, out of the box, you can use them, and they lend themselves to conversions, too.

Hope that helps!
Best regards,
Brad

A PS-if you haven’t already, you might want to look in the Figure forum and see if anyone has every discussed this question.
