WW2 Dodge WC64KD conversion & Dodge Carry-All conversion.

Have returned to modeling, after a 30 year absence.

Obtained above 2 kits (Zimut), with directions that leave a lot to be desired.

Have never worked with resin. What chassis do I start with? Can anyone make this any easier for me?

Help!

Mitch

Welcome Mitch:

The Azimut Dodge Carryall conversion was designed for the old Peerless WC 54 Dodge Ambulance.

It’s been reboxed and issued by Italeri, Testors and Bilek. Look to your local hobby shop, eBay or favorite online seller for this kit. I believe it’s out of production but they can still be had without much difficulty.

The Dodge WC63KD may use the same kit or the Dodge Weapon Carrier WC 51/52. Same makers.

However, if you want a VERY nice Dodge base kit, Skybow/AFV Club made a tremendously detailed and accurate WC 51/52. I don’t know its compatability with your two Azimut kits however.

Using resin just requires more patience and the use of cyanoacrylate (superglues). Their parts clean up requires saws, files, and patience. Be warned that their dust is not good for you so do your sanding under water. HTH
