Does anyone know where I can find planes that Sweden had during WW2? I would prefer the 1/72 scale.
Thanks!

A quick search gave the following planes that were Swedish or used by the Swedish Air Force.
SAAB 21 J21 A21
FFVS J22 S22
Gloster Gladiator J8
Republic Seversky J9
Fiat C.R-42 J11
Falco J20
Caproni Ca 313 S16
NA-16 Sk14
Ju 52 Tp5
One P-51B
P-51D J26
Spitfire S31
Mosquito J30
This is what I found so far. I’m not sure which of these that are available as kits except for the Mustang and Mosquito. I’ll try and return with more information asap. About where too if possible.

I am sure this will be helpful, I was wondering if you know of any good websites or books for reference.
Thanks again
You can add the Bf109E to the list.
Missed that one, but was it used?
There is one onlineshop that sell mainly aircraft kits and AM, and he’s selling overseas too as far as I know.

This topic has interested me lately as well.
Here are some good references I found:

And for Models, Marivox makes a few kits of unusual kits:

I just built their J-22 kit (an old release with poor decals) It is not bad to build, had a few problems with the cockpit as the seat, stick and rear bulkhead were longer then the opening in the fuselage??. I removed the stick, and the seat is too close to the control panel, but cant see much through the canapy anyway. I don’t know were you can buy it as I got mine on e-bay. It does make a cute little fighter in the end. I still have to decal mine so don’t know how these will work, I may have to cross my figures on this.
I also have a 1/72 Heller J-21 in my to build file and a Hobbycraft P-35A/J-9 in 1/48 to build as well.
Italeri has a Fiat CR.42 in 1/72 with decals for sweden as well as skis. Italeri also made an old Junkers Ju-86 but it is OOP. MPM makes a SAAB B-5 in 1/72 also.
Sweden also had a few impounded mustangs during WWII which they put in service during the war, and later purchased many more. Both P-51B and P-51 D,s which were painted in their markings.
Sweden had a liscense agreement to build Bf-109, but it was later retracted. They also wanted to build Me-210 and bf-110s as well. No BF-109s were purchased, but a few may have landed during the war and were impounded like the P-51’s.
I read somewhere that sweden considered at one time buying Mitsubishis Zeros but could not figure out how to get them to Scandanavia during the war.
Interesting links!
Sometimes it’s possible to find models that possible to build or convert to Swedish AF at the Swedish auction site Tradera. A few sellers do sell internationally too.

It used to be possible to configure the site for english language but I can’t seem to find that option right now. But it’s possible that they removed that option since the Swedish ebay disappeared. It’s possible that I can be of assistance since I have an account, PM me.
