I am interested in building a 1/16 model of the Wright Flyer. I know that Hasegawa and Model Airways both have a kit. Which one seems to be the better kit? How do they compare against each other? Thank you

The Hasegawa is a very fine kit, that will run you over $200. I’m not familiar with the Model Airways kit.
If you are going to not skimp on a model in your life, this is the one to not skimp on. The greatest moment of the twentieth century!
I have both, but have finished neither (other priorities).
Both kits will result in a fine model, but I prefer the Model Airways kit.
The Hasegawa kit assumes you will cover it & so they took some big ugly shortcuts with the rudder & elevator framework that is unfortunately visible. The landing skids are very wrong in cross-section and there are several other minor historical quibbles that I have with it.
The Model Airways kit is accurate in framework, etc, but is meant to be uncovered, so if you wanted it covered you’d have to do so yourself and that would in turn hide all the intricate detail.
Your choice – kinda depends on what you want of the final product …
