Hi everyone!!!

I wouldlike to build a garage to photo my cars in, but i have a few questions…

How do i go about keeping every ting in scale???

What can i use for the floor. i was thinking a black and whitr checkerd pattern, or just maybe a concrete floor…

What it be easier just to buy onepemade??? I found a few nice ones for 15 bucks…

Any ideas??/

You can keep everything in scale by calculating their resulting sizes in the scale that you are using. This is if you are scratchbuilding them. There are of course ready-made dio items available. If you want to scratchbuild, there are lots of conversion tables that can help you in measurement. I myself made a worksheet for this purpose. I can email it to you if you need one.

If you want ready-made go with the Fujimi Kits, they are nice.

They have 1 garage kit(antique garage is released this month) as well as accessory/tools and figure kits out in 1/24 scale.

For garage I would go with standard concrete floor,maybe paint the work area green or so.

Tiled floors could be made from squares cut out of plastic sheeting or using Plastruct sheets.

Keeping everything in scale will require quiet a bit of calculations and measurements.

Personally, I would go with the tools and toolbox sets and maybe create my own garage.

this web site might have something useful. Its mainly doll house stuff but some is in 1/24th scale:

When I scartch build I use 1millimetre equals 1 inch. That scales out to 1/25.4 but works for both 1/25 & 1/24 scale models. Just measure the real thing in inches then build it in millimetres.
Plastistrut and Model Building Supplies have architectural sheet styrene that is textured to resemble scale bricks and concrete blocks for your walls. For tile ,brick or wooden flooring , check out the doll house section of your favourite hobby shop.
