I’d like to show you my latest little diorama. It is called ‘Witamy!’, that is ‘Wecome’ in Polish
It shows the entrance of Polish forces in Czecho-Slovakia, on 1 October 1938, following the Munich Agreement.
The later is mostly known for settling the fate of the Sudetenland, the areas of then Czechoslovakia (in one word) where resided a sizeable German community. The Agrement also allowed Hungary and Poland to grab parts of Czecho-Slovakia later that year. However, the Polish government had been eyeing an area called Zaolzie, which had been a contention bone since the end of WWI between the two countries. As Zaolzie was not covered by the Munich agreement, Poland issued, only hours after the signing of the Munich Agreement, an ultimatum asking the Czech forces to leave Zaolzie and allow the area to be taken over by Poland. The Czech government agreed on 1 October and later that day, the Polish forces entered Czech Zaolzie.
Of course, Zaolzie would only remain Polish until September 1939…
In 1945, the pre-WWII borders were restored.
The 7TP is the 1/72 Mirage kit, with just a few improvements (missing rivet detail, added radio mast,…). The figures are from the Mirage, RetrokiT and Milicast range, though most are modified somewhat.
From what I can make out in your tiny photos, dj, it looks excellent==but I would really love to see your photos blown up a bit so we can see some detail?
DJ’s post is suffering from that strange affliction which has occurred with some other posts in the past.
If I click just to the right of the pic borders, it will blow up to full size, but if I click on the actual thumbnail, it just opens in the same size as the thumbnail. [8-]
