Fantastic drawing Yann !!

I can’t even begin to imagine the effort required to create something of that detail.
How do you plan to cut the styrene sheet? I just got my Chopper II, but I can see that being useful for making multiple for small, straight cuts.
Your mine-roller looks like a compolete kit all by itself.
Good luck with the cutting and fabrication.
Larry
Oh I already began cutting. The discs are made with thin 0.010" styrene so I use simple cisors. For the rest of it, a styrene scribber will do just fine. The smallest parts will be of some kind of metal strip. I still have to find those. There is 18 “spikes” on each disc so that means 360 small holding brackets to be done. This will be the most difficult part of the build.
you have bitten off a huge chunk Yann!![:D]-- can’t wait to see ya pull it off!!–best of luck— tread[:D][:P]
Ok, a small update:
I’m almost done with the fighting compartment, there is still some wiring and plumbing to do but I felt ready to take some pictures. I have painted the interior with a mix of Tamiya white 90% and Tamiya Buff 10% to give an old white look. I felt that the floor of a tank would become very dirty with time so I weathered it using Mig pigments.

I tried to make custom decals for the dials and gauges but I haven’t been able to do something convincing enough so I ended up scribbing them, please tell me how do you like them.

When I wanted to install the bulkhead that seperates the fighting compartment from the engine compartment, I wanted to let the access doors open so we could see the details of the engine when looking thru the turret hatch. I started to make the surgery on the bulkhead supplied wwith the kit but I quickly find out that it was WAY too thick.

So I had to scratchbuild a brand new one. The kit one was not completely accurate neither so I had to look at the reference I had to correct some of the lement found on the bulkhead panel. The result is a thin partition wall with good definition IMHO.

also started to add the details at the rear of the hull to allow for the rear panel to be shown open.

So this is where I am right now, still a lot of work to do but it’s a lot of fun. I love big scale. ![]()
Yann this is amazing. When i first saw the detail i was blown away. I just hope one day i’ll be as good a modeler as you are.[:D]
I just can’t wait to see the final model I know it’s going to look stunning!!!
Yann this is wicked!!! [bow]
You’re doing a heck of a job with this one, man o man, what a beauty [^]

beautiful yann very impressive indeed the weathering is perfect.
Making good progress Yann and taking full advantage of the large scale for adding detail. Very impressive. [tup]
Looking Great!
very nice progress. I think your weathering is excellent.
Terry.

AWESOME job there Yann. The instruments look great as well as the rest. Looks like once you get finished you’ll be able to drive it to town.

Ron
Thanks everybody.
Tread: Don’t worry, there is still alot of work to do.
Rudd: It would be really cool to drive that beast home.[:D]
Ok, here’s another update:
I’ve been working on the engine lately and I think I can show you where I am right now. For those who have the AirConnection book, you can compare this with the image on page 514. There are still alot of wiring and plumbing to do but the most difficult part is done. (I know I have to reglue some of the blue wiring at the front)
The weathering is done with artist oil for the engine dirty/greasy look and the exhausts are rusted and dusted with MIG pigments. I still have some work to do but I like the way it turned out so far. I also weathered the radiator with MIG pigments.
Any comments are more than welcome.

Incredible work yann the only problem i see here is your making it look too easy, complain about something already. [:)]
Another update on my HUGE T-34/85. I’ve been able to complete the transmission and brakes compartment, all painted and weathered. Please comment:

Wow Yann, that looks so real! You’re doing a heck of a job on this [tup]
looks beautiful yann. i wish i could be as creative and good as you are. as i look at my interior and engines, i find me asking myself “where to start, and how?”
looks wonderful
