These are some pictures of my tiger, I took those picture last night, play around with my camera, I hope you can help me with your photography experience. When I took this picture I did not use tripod. The problem that I got right now about how to use light, and how to use the camera manuals… So if you want to share your experience, I just want to say thanks…
In order to give you some good advice it would be nice to know what type of camera you’ve got.
Is it a DSLR ?? What brand ?? Compact-point-and-shoot ?? What kind of lighting do you use ??
Answere these questions and it will be easier to give you some help.
thanks, I used sony alpha dslr, about the light I just used my office light with 60w, and I used with box as my background…
One thing for sure is not the camera itself. It’s the way you’re holding the camera! There are a couple straight on shots that you have, with the tiger facing forward. looks great, except the lighting. Then it looks like the tank is sideways in a couple shots, which would suggest you’re turning the camera on a 90 degree angle. Hold the camera like you did in picture two and three, move the tank, not the camera. The lighting can be fixed no problem. Take it outside and try to get as much natural daylight as possible. Bring your background box outside and you should get some seriously great pics!
The model looks nice though, I do love a Tiger…
Looks really nice indeed. The angles are a bit original at first, but gives me a headache really quickly [%-)] A slight angle looks better (like the 3rd one) IMHO
Thanks for your input James, I will try it again once I get home again next weekend. Oh yah how about the light, do you have any idea about that. I’ll wait for your input.
[#ditto] Looks really good to me too.
So that’s what a tiger look like in snow outfit, very good, maybe I should paint my tiger with that paint job. I don’t use a tripod either, my digital camera too small for a large tripod, beside the images are great afterwards. It’s the back round that’s important, use a brighter coulor poster paper like red, green or blue, white and gray good too but for you tank, something that shows it out more.
Well I’m glad I could help! I do recommend a blue background because it seems to do something with the light that really helps. White reflects light too easily, just look at snow when the sun is shining! I do recommend just a blue poster board folded in half, take it outside when it’s sunny and shoot away with your camera. I don’t use a tripod, not necessary with today’s cameras! HTH
