willy's jeep finished pic.

hi mates, here’s the latest of the bench [;)] it’s the one from tamiya with scratchbuild rear storagerack and windscreencover made from a old handkerchief filled with some scrapbox stuff to repressend the personale storage the windscreencover was used by the GI’s . also the rear was lowerd by 3mm and the reartires were flattend a bit and rebuild with putty to get a loaded look . the right frontsuspension was cranked up a bit so when used later in a dio it will be on top of some debrise when comming around a bend [:p], anyway hope you like it and comments are always greatly appreciated [:D]

Luc.

Nicely done! I like the windshield cover and other details you’ve added. The model definitely gives you the impression of being “loaded down”.

Well done…

NICE JOB! really like the weathering and figures… nice job on all the stowage and “extras” as well…

Wow, fantastic job. This little thing really is a gem. The overall finish exhudes presence and character. Thanks for the pics! [:)]

Looks pretty good. Antenna looks way too long though. They were usually only about 6 feet long. Looks too low in the rear to me for the amount of gear being carried. Jeep suspensions were pretty hard and didn’t give much under a normal load as your vehicle is carrying. Even with trailers attached they tend not to sag too much.

Great job. I hope mine turns even half as good as that. Look forward to seeing the dio.[:D]

Excellent build!
The figures are superb, too!

look at this guy’s antenna:

Looks really nice. Motivates me to get started on my jeep for the GB. I like how you partially flattened the tires and lowered the suspension…

Ryan

[#ditto] on the rear tires. Great job!

great job maffen. do you have pic’s of the back of your’s?trackgrpbld05.jpg

Great looking jeep
the suspention looks great, and the figures look good with there poses

he says it going to be in a diorama, it might be going up a hill

Great build maffen. Looking forward to the dio now!

Nice job Luc, I had a surplus MB that I bought when I was in high school, and oldy but a goody! even twenty years after the war it was still reliable–again, great job

Steve

Nice build Luc…detail and weathering very impressive. I was wondering about the lenght of the antenna also, but after looking at the other picture, what can I say. I do wonder though and I have never done any research on the subject…if different radio sets required different lenght antennas. May have to crack the books. OK…I’m rambling. Again great build.[tup][tup]

Excellent build Luc. Should be great in a diorama. Thanks for sharing.

Regards, Rick

Looks very nice to me. Would like to see a pic of the storage from the rear of the Jeep. Good job, thanks for sharing.

[:D] very nice build,good work[:D]

thanks for the comments mates [;)] as for the rear rack [:(] sorry the pic. did not came out like i wanted ([:(!] camera) it’s constructed with placticard strips (just like making a basket) and stuffed with ammo boxes, extra jerrycan, a (seems like) oilcanister from the sparebox, and a tripod for the .50 cal.,shovel and a lenght of steel wirerope. and the .50 cal is from the academy US machinegun set no. 1384 with the ammobox there 14 pieces to put together [:p] i think prob. the best on the market regarding machineguns(well it’s the best buy i did [;)])

Looks really good, but the antenna is wayyy too thick; In that scale the antenna should be roughly 1/2 the diameter or less… The base mount of it should be about 1" scaled to the figures, in scale it appears the antenna would be about 2 to 3 inches across…
