Why are YOU online and not building?

Waiting for glue to dry. How about you?

I have to clean up my modelling area. A very daunting chore. Boxes have to be reorganized. Plus I have to split the started kits from the unstarted kits. Make sure everything is in it’s box. Just don’t feel like doing it right now.

Best Regards,

Mark

Definitely a bazooka round! Be careful, dude! When your house blows up your neighbors will assume you had a meth lab in the basement!

trying to get inspired to build stuff as good as i’ve seen here,im easily discouraged by my skills or lack there of but you folks keep me trying[:D]

Just chilling around the house, getting other things done, such as yardwork. I’m waiting for the GB to start in two weeks. Most of my in-progress are finally done. So, I’m on-line more.

the GB starts on July 5th, right? speaking of which, that thread has died down lately…what was the final count of particpants and subject matter breakdown?

I am online to do some research for two future projects and to do some model related shopping. I am looking for some information and pictures of Australian Centurions in Vietnam and am also looking for gear and accessories to put on the Centurion. I am also looking for pictures related to the CMK training and Hauler conversions for the Tamiya T-55. So far, not much luck.

At the moment, because I’m trying to recover from the stiffness/soreness from setting up these starting on Friday night and all day yesterday:

The first is a 125 gallon tank (empty tank weighs 400 lbs, stand weighs 95 lbs, but rocks, gravel, water, etc. makes it 1800-2000 lbs) that now houses 2 Red Eared Sliders (1 male, 1 female) as their previous enclosure was too small for the female and they needed more room.

The second is the turtles’ old environment, a 50 gallon pentagonal tank, which was completely disassembled, cleaned, and re-configured to house South American and African cichlids.

Under normal conditions, I’m online either because a) it’s a weekday and I only build on weekends or 2) I’m taking a quick break while things dry or to rest after completing a tedious step/process.

Manstein, I updated that comment in the GB. Seemed to make more sense to type it there.

My parents won’t let me build or buy any new kts right now.

This is a great place for inspiration. In fact, I think I enjoy the planning as much as the building… and I certainly enjoy more both than having the finished product in hand, or on shelf as the case may be!

I agree with you. Has anyone else felt that just getting the kit was more exciting than actually finishing a build? I too love the reasearch and planning part, sometimes more than the building.

My Alan PzKfw II Ausf C was a case in point: an unusual subject, a new (to me) kit manufacturer… then the frustration of the guidehorns being too close, or the idlers, return rollers and roadb wheels all molder too thick. Dumbass Russians!

I wanted the Valentine so bad, that I got the Alan kit. Big mistake, this was in the early days before things like the forums and Perth. I really hope that even Tamiya comes out with one.

I’m currently taking a break from building a DML 1/35 Panther D.I also added a few extra parts from the D to my fiance’s 1/35 Tamiya Panther A.I guess this means I’m taking a break from two Panthers.

I am working on a AFV Club Sd.Kfz 251/1 but I am taking a break - this is my first AFV model and I am not enjoying it too much so I am letting it be until the mood strikes agin. Plus its been nice here in New England - perfect work-out weather.

Your fiance’ is a tank modeler? Dude, you are a lucky man…

Well, me and the misses are moving at the end of this week so I am trying not to get into anything to hot and heavy. Trying to motivate myself to finish this Dragon 251, but ever since I was satisfied with the paint, I have had a hard time finishing it, lol.

wbill, nice tanks. I currently have a 46 Bow set up as a saltwater reef. I have a nice 50 with built in overflow that I am going to transfer the contents of the 46 to once I finish the stand and the canopy that I am building for it!!

Here is a pic of the 46 about a year ago, it has matured quite a bit since then!

’ cause tigerman says ‘no go’ till 7/5-- tread[(-D][8D]-- beautiful weather here in Ct.-- out on my bike this weekend!

Because im letting the paint dry for 5 days on my 2nd F-106 and because I have no life outside of school and lacrosse.[:(][sigh] Speaking of which I think i’ll go shoot some more. [:)]
