Who makes the best chrome paint?

I’m new to modeling, so I’m having the inevitable trouble with chrome chipping off the parts. I’m looking for a good chrome paint. I was in Target with my wife and saw a bottle of chrome nail polish for around $5. It looked pretty close to the real thing. Of course, I know you can’t get the real polish of chrome from a bottle. But I was hoping someone out there had done the research and could recommend something.

Thanks

Try Alclad chrome. It’s the best I’ve ever used. If you put it on over a gloss black base, it looks very realistic. Have a look at www.alclad2.com for examples of it. You’ll need an airbrush to put it on.

Good site. Thanks for the tip.

I recommend Alclad as well… great stuff and easy to apply! Wierd… I just read on their site that you can use Future for a primer… gonna have to try that on the next kit I do with it!

I like using Model Master enamals Chrome Silver for things like mirrors… its a fairly bright color… and not one of the model master metalizers that tend to rub off sometimes…
