Who makes a Sukhoi Su-37...

Like the title says, who makes a kit of the Su-37 in 1/72 or 1/48? I’d prefer 1/72 for the time being, due to lack of space to show it. Thanks all in advance.

EDIT: Maybe I should clarify. Not the Berkut, but the Sukhoi. I’ve found the Zvezda model, is that any good?

SOL Models make a resin conversion for the Academy SU-27, it is the item 48062 and the scale is 1/48…Hope it helps!

I thought Sukhoi made it…!

:o)

I can only find models made by Zvesda.

The Berkut is Sukhoi last I checked, and was designated S-37 at one point, which may be why you’re seeing it if you’re searching for it

ummm SU stands for Sukhoi

and for the record the S-37 is the prototype the official designation that is now given to it that it is a production modelnow is the SU-47.

Thanks everyone for the responses (yes, even Dan1677-made me laugh),

OK, so the non-forward swept model with the front Canards is designated the Su-47? Academy makes a 1/48 Su-27 that can be upgraded with an SOL conversion kit. Got it. Cool beans, I may get another project to finish (a year or two later… after I’m done building everything else I own [(-D])

EDIT: OK, I need that absolute latest model designation for the non-Berkut (that IS the forward swept wing config fighter, right?) Su-37 with front canards and a traditional swept-wing configuration. Not interested in the forward-swept fighter at this time. Thanks all…

Lack of space? Hang it from the ceiling

What he’s referring to is the su-35/37. (non forward sewpt wings/front canards) the S37 Berkut (Golden eagle) has forward sewpt wings, and I don’t belioev this is what you’re looking for. However, revell of germany does make a kit of the Berkut.

Blah, but I don’t want a Berkut… why can’t a good manufacturer make a good kit of the Sukhoi! [:(][banghead][BH]

I think there is some misunderstanding about the name berkut (golden eagle).
Yes, it is a plane (S-37) a forward swept technology demonstrator made by suchoj.
But Berkut is also the name of a kit manufacturer, formerly know as nakotne, they have russian aircraft and I think they make some aircraft of the Flanker family. It could be that they have the specific sub-type you are looking for.

As I know the SU35/37 is the latest model from Sukhoi…The Berkut is a concept plane with a prototype built, but I believe the official designation is not SU37…SU35/37 is an evolution of the SU27 and, as far as I know, it can only be converted using the SOL resin kit…
Sorry if I am wrong, but this is the information I have…Maybe it help you…

there’s somebody on the plane trading section of the hyperscale forum who is selling a
ENCORE Su-35.
That’s almost what you are looking for (I can not tell the difference between thesu-35 and the su-37 it could be the trust-vectoring)

I don’t know anything about the kit, nor the seller.

and as I posted earlier, I think Berkut (formerly know as Nakotne) makes model kits of these late-type Flankers as wel.

Yeah, I figured out that the kit I want is the Su-35 with thrust vectoring (i.e Su-37.) I couldn’t see much of a difference in the aircraft’s appearances, so I could go for a -35 model and be happy about it. Thanks all for the help, I couldn’t have figured it out without ya!

China’s Mini Hobby Models (subsidiary of Trumpeter) has a 1:72 Su-47 (S-37) Berkut. Nice fit, few parts, no flash, crisp details. Just iffy on the cockpit detail but it fits nice.

I’m building it for a Trumpeter Exhibit in August here in Manila.

Oh dear, here’s the whole Berkut/su-37/s-37 mix up again![8-][sigh]

I say go for the SOL conversion. Beautiful resin from what i’ve read.

I have a zvezda su-35 and su-37 on the shelf (not talking su-47 berkut, got an italeri one of those, probably the zvezda mold, but haven’t opened yet, it’s way down the priority list). Haven’t peaked at either yet, but hoping they are good. Anybody built a zvezda su-35/37 with anything helpful to say about them?
As for the Encore/Nakotne/Berkut Su-35, I built one way back when (been at least 10 years). Poor toy-like plastic, not fully accurate, but has some good points. The satelite receiver bumb is on the top, and it has decent canards. The LERX I don’t recall how good (it went to the spares box many years back along with my Airfix flanker), but overall it is great for parts if you want to go to the effort of revamping other kits. Liked the decal sheets for the Encore (that’s the one I built, I hear it’s also Nakotne/Berkut), was possible to make many different versions of the su-35 protos. Had rudimentary refueling probe (extended) and flap/slats for custom positioning. Don’t recall the nose wheel arrangement, belive it was only a single tire set. Of course, it had lots of fit issues and the plastic is cheesy, but I got mine for less than $9 US at the time, and for parts it may be worth that. But if you are looking for a definitive su-35 to bulit up, keep looking.

Yeah, I’ve got a Mini Hobby Models Su-35 (not an S-37 Berkut!) in 1/48th; looks like they used the same molds as Hobbycraft’s Su-27 (that’s not a good thing!). It was inexpensive ($20 or so), so it looked like a pretty good deal at the time. Haven’t started working on it, but if it’s anything like the Hobbycraft Su-27, it’s gonna take some work to make it look good. It is supposedly the Flanker with vectored thrust (Su-37?), but the nozzles don’t move (I don’t think).

I have the Zvezda Su-37 kit, looks ok, but my main problem with it is that the panel lines are all raised and there is no cockpit detail what so ever. All in all I think that it will turn out ok, but I am sure that the fit is not the greatest and that I’ll probably end up rescribing the entire thing to get it to look like the way that I want. There arent too many parts, and if I remember correctly the landing gear look a bit off from the reference pics that I have seen online. But it was a relatively cheap buy even after S&H, so what the hey!! Still should be fun when I finally have the time to get to it.

Kitech makes a 1/48 SU-35. I have not attempted it yet but it has crisp recessed panel lines. I have heard with Kitech models to be prepared to use some filler. I’ll find out soon. I got mine for 8 bucks at an outlet toy store so I figured no great loss if it don’t work out.
