who makes a kit of a Victoria-class sub

the title says it all…

Do you mean a Soviet Victor class attack boat?

I doubt it. Given his location I’m pretty sur ethat he means the Upholder/Victoria class of submarines for the Royal Navy & Canadian Maritime Command

Resin Shipyard have one listed as “coming soon” in their catalogue though how soon is not mentioned.

I seem to remember a Polish company that has been producing an Upholder class sub in 1/400 scale…

Dragon used to make a series of 1/700 “double kits,” each containing two submarines (one Soviet and one allied) and a couple of anti-submarine aircraft. I don’t remember all of them (though I think I’ve got one or two in the attic), or the exact date; I think they were among the company’s first kits. They actually were pretty nice. I think at least one of those boxes had a British nuclear sub in it, but I don’t remember what class.

HMS Revenge and HMS Trafalgar were both released in these double kits.

The Polish kit was of the WW2 U class boat Undine which could be built as Upholder.

I plum forgot about Darren & the Resin Shipyard’s one in the works. I bought his Ojibwa submarine at the IPMS Nats recently. It is very well done.

Contact Darren using the link at this address & ask about it.

Tell him that Ed Grune says to get off his lazy butt & get to work!

(Disclaimer before anyone gets their panties in a knot: I know Darren, I’ve dined & drank with Darren, I’ve hurled insults at him and and have had them hurled at me in return. He’s a good guy, just needs proper modivation at times ;-P)

I found a 1/700 kit of Upholder from OKB Grigorov. It’s available from white ensign models for 12.12£. I don’t know if there have been any upgrades to the Victoria class that would be visible in this scale. If anyone buys it, let me know how the kit is.
