who does the best PR blue paint?

as the title says…

any make,enamel or acrylic.

and were US and BRITISH colours different or the same?

cheers paul

I have the colour in Xtracolor, and it’s perfectly fine. WEM also do one, which I haven’t used, but which I would expect to be at least as good, and easier to brush-paint. Finally, Humbrol have just brought out a PRU Blue (Hu.230) to go with their new Canberras. It comes in both enamel and acrylic, and is easier to brush-paint than either Xtracolor or WEM, as well as cheaper and much more widely available.

Frederiksson doesn’t list a separate US colour, so I’d imagine it’s the same as the RAF one - certainly as far as US-operated but British-made aircraft, such as the Mosquito, are concerned.

Cheers,

Chris.

British aircraft in US PR units were painted with British paints.

ModelMaster has a very nice PRU Blue in their enamel line. Not sure about their Acryl line.

As stated, US aircraft were painted with the RAF paints.

Regards, Rick
