which Sturmtiger kit?

I am considering purchasing a 1/35 Sturmtiger for myself as a Christmas gift (Merry Christmas Jin).

Which kit is the best? pricewise, they are all similar so I am not too worried about that.

Options:

Tamiya

AFV Club

Revell Germany (came out like 2 days ago)

Well the Tamiya kt is pretty old. I haven’t heard of the Revell Germany one.

Carves just built the AFV one and gave a list of stuff thatt’s bad

Check out Carves (Ben’s) review. The new AFV Club is probably the best on the market, but don’t rule out Italeri’s kit. I built it and it was suppossed to be the most accurate until the AFV kit came out. Also, it comew with some some interior to it. Also has premolded zim which is okay.

Just a guess, but Revell of Germany has a history of boxing Italeri kits, so it may well be the same. But to confuse matters, Revell has also reboxed AFV Club kits like the M88A1, Wiesel and Scorpion too.

I prefered, mentioning things that needs some carefull attention when building this thing. And as I mention in my post “things could have been made better”.

The entire kit when finish is beautiful btw.

I’v just been weighing up which is the best Sturm to go with as my wife wanted me to build one and said she would buy it me for christmas and I went with the AFV Club after reading various reviews…cant wait to get it unwrapped and started.[:D]

I have the Tamiya with all the Eduard gear… not sure of the final fitting yet, but it looks OK by me.

No sisters but I could post her over when I’v finished with her[;)][(-D]

She comes past the LHS quiet often and usually brings me a kit or 2…she’s a keeper[:D]

Could have been worse. Last time when my wife and I had a holiday, she wanted me to build her a WWII Corsair. So I did. Build like nuts in 7 days.
