Hi i’m doing my sceince fair project on wing aerodynamics on the A-10, The f/A-18 ang the Saab 37 Viggen. [tup][tup][tup]which plane do you think has the best wing desine.[:D] but it is due thursday.[banghead] Please help[bow][bow]!!
It’s not a matter of which is best. Each was designed to perform a given mission and optimised to perform that mission. The A-10 was designed to fly low and slow and kill tanks. The Viggen was designed as a interceptor to shoot down enemy a/c. The F/A-18 was designed to do both air to ground and air to air and operate from an aircraft carrier.

Overall I would say the Delta wing on the Viggen becouse its know that the Delta wing can carrie a greater load. More than the F18s wings(laminar airflow) and has a lot less Drag than the A-10s
