Gentlemen,
I thought it would be helpful to let everyone know which kit they think was their
all time best build…from the perspective of…out of the box…who made your favorite model airplane kit and why?
Thanks,

Hmm… usually it is the kit I am currently working on.
However, the 1/72 He 111 kit from Hasegawa that I finished recently would probably be my most favorite to date. The reason being is that it is an aircraft I have always wanted to do and after one disastorous attempt at an awful airfix kit many years ago I was very pleased to learn that Hasegawa made a newly tooled kit.
I also built a 1/72 F - 18A (Hasegawa) many years ago in Canadian markings that I am very proud of.
[#ditto], I almost always enjoy the kit that I am currently working on.
But my favorite one of all time thus far was Tamiya Me-262a-2 fighter. IT was a fun and easy build that went together butifuly.
Im really excited about some of the unbult kits I have too, especualy the Eduard P-39 profipack and the Hs-123 from Amtech, moslty becouse they provide afermarket parts in the box!
I think the most fun were the old monogram kits with retractable landing gear and droppable bombs and stuff. I was stilll young enough back in the late sixties to get away with playing with them in the back yard. Ha!

That’s a tough choice to make, but I’d say the Accurate Miniatures 1/48 Avenger was my favorite build.
Regards, Rick
For it’s ease-- definitely the Tamiya P-47D Thunderbolt…was a pleasure to build in every regard. But overall favorite are any of the AM Dauntless series…
Whell, the 1/72 Revell Su-27 B Flanker was really a beauty to build, fits nicely, etc
Also the Revell 1/72 Spitfire Mk.Vb: nice fit, great decals and markings, and a good finish,…

I agree with Rick, the AM avenger as well as their SBD were both a blast to build. The accuracy an engineering are second to none in my opinion. The instructions were alittle vague, but the end result is awesome.

I have to say my Lady Be Good has to be my all time favorite build.(See profile for pic)

Hey RJj
I was considering buying a kit or two from accurate miniatures…would you recommed it?
Tank
Hey guys…
Sounds good so far…keep them coming…
thanks,

I think the best kit I ever built was the Hasagawa A-4C Scooter. It really is a “shake & bake” kit. I can’t remember having any problems with it at all.
One of the best kits I ever built was the Tamiya 1/48 scale Gloster Meteor. The fit of the fuselage was incredible! After laying done a light bead of Zap-A-gap the seam just disappeared! The rest of the kit just fell together, and the decals were a dream.I built that kit about 5 years ago and is still one of my all-time favorites.
To date, the most fun I had was with the 1/48 Monogram C47. It did have it’s fit problems, but I was very happy with the results.
