I have been on this forum for some time. I did recently, update my email address, as the ISP that supplied the old one has ceased operations. It’s been a month, or two since I’ve been on, but when I logged in today, using that new email address, it’s like I have a new account. Where’s my old one?
Additionally, I CANNOT log out to even see if i can get to the account via the old email address. Thank you.
Got verification that the account has been fixed, so am posting a reply to verify functionality, as I cannot log off and back on. My old avitar now appears by my old name, though, in spite of not being able to log out.
The logging out issue is one that we have been combatting for a while. There’s a long, convoluted story behind it that spans years, employee changeover, and poor institutional documentation during those changeovers. It all comes down to severity of the issue and importance in the overarching company/brand mission. Needless to say, that particular issue ranks pretty low and is triaged in favor of other more pressing web concerns.
Look forward to seeing your around the Forum more often.
Software Engineer: "Why do you think they call it ‘code’?
Yeah, since the account got updated in real time, all seems good.
I’ve now ‘retired’ (actually about a year from retiring and the company I worked for went bankrupt, so sure, why not?) and am starting to get back into the hobbies I did before life and work got in the way. I have a room with restaurant racks loaded with a stash that I’ll never finish, given the speed I work and the details I like to add. Still, though, it should be fun.
