Where to find miniature water coolers, water bottles?

I’ve noticed detail pics with mini water coolers, and mini water bottles, on various vehicles depicted and I was wondering where you guys got these items from? Also, in HeavyArty’s photo gallery, the pics of the Bradley Driver’s compartment had warning decals, etc. I would like to know where to get those also. Thanks guys!

Accurate Armour and a few other AM companies make water bottles and coolers. Take a look at gear and accessory sets and you will see a few different types.

Most of Academy’s modern kits (HMMWVs, M113s, etc.) have a sprue of water bottles and an old-style, metal water cooler as well. With some sanding and repainting, it can be made to look like a modern Igloo-style water cooler.

For the plackards on my Bradleys, I made them myself. I scoured the web searching for images of warning signs, plackards, and data plates. Once I found what I liked, I copied and pasted them into a graphics program; I prefer Power Point. Once I have them resized and arranged, I printed them off on computer decal paper.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info!

I picked up the Tamiya Abrams OIF kit recently, and it has a nice sprue of clear molded water bottles. You might be able to order these sprues separately from Academy or Tamiya.

Jeff

Having just ordered replacement sprue of tracks, I can tell you if it is available they will want the kit number and the sprue letter/number. Telling the young lady Cromwell and track was a waste of breath.

If you could give the Tamiya kit # and what sprue it is that would really help. {as Tamiya wonders why they suddenly received more replacement orders for a part than the number of kits they actually sold [swg]

. . . . and Jeordicat patiently waits for this info also. [:-^] [:-^]

Go for the Accurate Armour water bottles:

(they also come in green and clear resin) That way, you don’t have to buy the less-than-wonderful Tamiya Abrams.

Cheers,

Chris.
