Where to find a Waldron or Historex Punch and Die set

Hello,

I want a set of these punches, but I’d rather not order from overseas and was wondering if anyone could tell me where I can get one in the good ol USA. Or if someone is trying to unload one, let me know tedman111@adelphia.net.

Your help is appreciated,

Ted

Woody - got $90 bucks i could borrow? [:D]

Those suckers are expensive, geesh.

Yes they are. Waldron, Historex, and 5-Star are all very proud of their hobby punches. LOL
If you look for jewelers punches you might save some cash.

Unfortunately, a good punch and die set is a precision tool and precision tools don’t come cheap (although in some cases I think you are actually paying for the manufacturers name). Throw in the fact that there is only one or two manufacturers producing the punch and die sets, largely for modelers the price stays high (let’s face it, that market is nowhere as large as if they were making a speciality tool for auto or aircraft mechanics). The upside is that if you maintain and use the tools as directed, they will last for years.
