I’ve heard these are the best printers for printing your own decals, but I can only find websites that offer supplies for them, and not the actual printer. I’m looking at the MD-5000 model in particular. Does anyone know a website that actually sells these things? Thanks in advance!
Alps doesn’t sell them any longer via the Shops.
You either have to contact Alps directly or try E-Bay to get one.
Go with the MD5000P, this one can handle metallic foils too.

I just picked the MD-1300 for 270 bucks on ebay. Just be careful on how they pack it for shipping as I have heard alot of horror stories on how many don’t work once they hook it upand power up the 1st time. Also if you need it repaired you will be SOL because Alps will only exchange models and I believe it the cost was 375 bucks.
They are still producing it, but Alps is not the type of company that normally deals with Joe Public.
Their customers are usually other companies, they made an exception with the Printers since they were designed for small businesses.
I have heard rumours that they are busy developing a newer and better printing technique but nothing if it will become available to the average person in the street.
