I was wondering if any company makes a B-2 stealth bomber kit in 1/72 or 1/48 scale.
Testors makes one in 1/72.
Two are available one that is really small and the 1:72 offering from Testors. Be prepared to do some major work on the latter. It does however have great potential. Check out John Vojtech’s award winning B-2 here and at John’s site here.
Now Jacob, in the interest of full disclosure, the model Hawkeye is referring to has many hundreds if not 1000’s of hours put into it, so don’t be worried about getting there just yet.
Welcome, and looking forward to your posts.
That thing has ruined the B-2 for me, just exquisite.
Yeah, the Testors is the only game in town for a 1/72 kit, but is a bear to get together. I’ve started mine by gluing together the main sections (there are six) into upper and lower halves, and already there’s a LOT of sanding I need to do. It’s not just gaps- it’s the steps between the parts which are going to be a PITA. Add to that that ALL the large parts are warped, and what do you get?
About a months worth of hard work. But it IS doable. It’ll just be rough.
Not to put you off buying it or anything… [;)]
What I was illustrating is, that even though the kit is a relative slug, it does have potential at the hands of a good modeler. Granted John Vojtech is a Master, there are others who have turned out some really nice builds of this kit. A little patience and skill is all that it takes…well maybe a lot of patience.
Well Lucien that being said anyone want to buy one… I had my headache with Testors SR-71[banghead] Don’t want that again.

I bought the 1/72 Testor’s offering years ago. It was a real dog. The wings were warped so bad that I ended up throwing the thing in the trash.
Save your money unless you really want a challenge/headache.
I built the testors kit. It was one of my first tries with putty and filling. The model looks decent when it’s done…from the bottom…hanging from a ceiling…a 12-foot vaulted ceiling.
thanks so much, I was thinking about maybe spending $40 on that kit. I’ve only been modeling or about 10 months and from what you people are saying i wouldn’t be able to finish it well
I have three B-2s in my list
In 1/72 Testors
In 1/144 Hobbycraft and Revell Germany
There may be others, I just haven’t found them yet.
