What's up with the Workbench Reviews page?

Dave et. al.,

Sometimes when I visit the Workbench Reviews page, I get a list of all the models reviewed with a thumbnail on the left side. Very cool!!!

Other times, I get a list of the years, with the months underneath. Not nearly as cool.

The page has switched back and forth a couple of times over the past couple of days. I much prefer the first layout because it is much easier to browse the reviews. It is easier to not only find a specific review, but also to see what reviews are available.

The current layout, with the years and months, requires me to check the issue index or do a site search if I’m looking for a specific review. If I just want to browse, I need to click randomly instead of looking at the thumbnails and just clicking on what looks interesting.

Please consider going back to the thumbnail layout.

Thanks!

You should see a row of thumbnails for the current issue’s reviews AND a list of years/months for old reviews (to replace the annoying old system of first having to select the year, then after waiting for the screen to refresh, the month). It’s part of a bunch of small upgrades and tweaks we implemented earlier this week. As typical in these situations, some things didn’t work right at first, but I think we’ve got the bugs sorted out.

Ooops. Spoke too soon. [:I] I just noticed the article numbers are appearing in the text links for the current-issue reviews. Note to Self: Contact tech folks Mon. AM.
