the only diference i can see is the members. the old fourm had fewer people, but they were very knowlagable (i cant spell), there were people like “shermanfreak” who knew everything about the sherman, (really, everything) like how many were produced, the varients, and what happened to them after the war. but then something happened, i was on vacation so i’m not sure what, and it seems many who know what happened are either gone or don’t want to talk about it.
back then everyone knew each other and everyone were really good friends, it was like a family.
now there are much more people and it is still a really helpful site.
Well, size has increased dramatically in terms of Forum membership & some of the family atmosphere has diminished. It’s like Small Town vs. Big City. But I still have many members I consider freinds & try to make new ones all the time. You kinda get back what you give.

My whole existence would have been validifed?! Damn. I got here too late. I do have forum members who I consider friends, even though this may be because they bought me off with free regulators[:D][(-D][(-D], and numerous others as well. But I guess this was more common back in the day. This forum is still an amazing place though. I must say, I am particularly fond of nutty australians…[;)]
the forums haven’t changed much, its still a model of real life if you ask me. things happen, change, you deal with it and move on. i can still remember many people whom i had contact with while in the military. people whom i considered the best of friends, but after a couple of months back in the civilian world i thought little of them. same here, i’ve lost some really cool people i considered forum friends, but time has a way of healing things like that. i personally never thought this forum would be the same without the off topic thread, but we’ve managed just fine without it. you can still post off topic stuff there as long as it has nothing to do with politics, religion, and taxes!!LOL these topics have caused wars from the beginning of civilization anyway, so, they are better left alone with it comes to bettering ones ability to glue styrene together. to sum it up, you didn’t miss much. later.
