It’s mostly explained in the title, but what scale are warhammer 40,000 figures in?
Im not sure of the exact size, but theyre pretty close to 1/48 scale figures.
I am pretty sure that the figs are NOT to any scale, proportions of arms and legs are totally wrong with the rest of the bodies to be classed as scale figures.
Example:
Proportions of high elves are more what humans should look like in this scale.
The 40k figures are purpously out of proportion to make them look cartoonie… but they are pretty close to both 1/35 and 1/48 scale so I would say if you want to know, just place them inbetweein 35th and 48th somewhere near the middle but probably a teeny tiny bit closer to 1/35th scale
The 40K figures are in 20mm scale which is about 1/34.
Demankat
Sorry, but the great imperial SpaceMarines 're modeled in 1/60th…Roughly 30mm hight. As most of the GW/Citadel stuff ( Warhammer & Wh40K alike )…Except the LotR line ( 25mm- 1/72nd ), and the Inquisitor line ( 54mm- 1/32nd ). Of course, Skaven and orckish fiends ’ re bigger, or smaller…But who cares hang about that dirty scum !
They start, as Citadel figures ( 1978 ), at the 25mm - 1/72nd scale, but, as time passed, the tiny beasties ’ s started to grow up…To stop around 30mm - 1/60th scale !
Today, they 're back to a smaller size but ’ re still bigger than a true 25mm…that is !
Btw, I forgot the dwarves…Who ’ re, you bet, much smaller ( but a lot broad-shouldered ! ) [:D]
They cant be 1/34 cause I tested my only 2 40k figures by a 1/48 and a 1/35 scale soldiers of mine and they were about close to half the size of the 35th and alittle bigger than the 48th
Mike is right, they are 1/60 scale.
