What,s the diff between a TF18A n a F18B?

Hellö my helpfull comrades.[:)]
Is there any difference?
I have the 1/72 Hasegawa TF18A and have decals for a F18B.
What do I need to modify? Thanks in advance.[:)]

I don’t know about the TF-18A but if you are talking about the F-18A is a single seater while the B is a two seater.

thanks jim66.

From what I’ve read there is no difference.

Depending on the time frame, you might need to add the LEX fences. TF-18A was the original designation for the 2-seater. This was changed to FA-18B. LEX fences were added sometime after mid-1987, the original Hasegawa TF-18A kit did not include thes as they didnt’ exist when the kit was tooled. Later kits marketed as the FA-18B have the LEX fences included, as do all the “C” and “D” kits which, incidentally, include the early vertical tails also so one can model just about any legacy Hornet with the Hase FA-18C or D kits (you just can’t put the TFLIR on the left intake since for whatever reason Hase didn’t include the adapter for it… :frowning: )

thanks plum1030 and hegedus.

hegedus , you must spent a lot of time on the F18s ,
I think the LEX fences are included in the kit but are
marked as “parts not for use”.
The hornet I am building has these so I will be adding em on.
